Man dies after slip, fall in baggy pants

youngstown

A man who police said may have fallen and fractured his skull because of baggy pants has died.

Savor Hendrix, 30, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, a spokesman for the Mahoning County Coroner’s office said Thursday. An autopsy will be conducted.

Police were called about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday to 356 E. Judson Ave., where Hendrix and three other men were installing a swimming pool. Hendrix went to use the bathroom after complaining of stomach pain and was found lying on his back with his pants around his ankles.

Detectives said Hendrix was legally drunk, and they believe he lost his balance because of the saggy pants as he reached for the knob to open the back door, fell backward and hit his head on concrete. Doctors told police his injuries were consistent from a fall, reports said.
