North Side bar hit by arsonist

Firefighters found a flammable substance was thrown inside a North Side bar about 2:30 a.m. today.

Crews were called to the Pit Stop, 1564 Logan Ave., after police heard an alarm going off and when they got there they found someone either threw or poured the substance through a front window. The window frame and some furniture were damaged, reports said.

Damage is listed at $3,000. The cause is under investigation. No one was injured.
