What: Guided tour of MetroParks Farm, including wagon ride, visit with animals, playroom time.

What: Kids can enjoy an afternoon of fun in the Family Garden.

When: Wednesday, 5-7 p.m.

What: Garden Terrace with beautiful view of Lake Glacier is the place to relax and unwind after work as you enjoy wine and listen to music by Scammin’ Jones. Garden Cafe will be open.

RESTAURANT WEEK

When: Aug. 10-17.

What: Support and learn about local foods by supporting restaurants working with local farmers to support our local economy.

PLANT EXCHANGE

When: Aug. 17, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

What: Enjoy a morning with fellow gardeners in and around the Mahoning Valley. Bring a plant, seeds or bulbs to share, and take one home. Learn to use recycled items in the garden — tool, pot and art exchange.

Where: Canfield Fairgrounds, Pumpkin Building.

Summer Trees & Shrubs

When: Aug. 22, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

What: Add summer interest to your garden with trees and shrubs that are more than just green plants. Join Lynn Zocolo, garden educator, in the classroom and outside in the gardens.

Breakfast Botany

When: Aug. 23, 8:30 to 10 a.m.

What: Start with a brisk walk to see plants growing in the gardens. Return to the Garden Cafe to enjoy breakfast and hear about oak trees.
