“Edgar Allen Poe’s The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar,SDRq presented by Victorian Players and J&B Production Arts Services, Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, auditions 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. This lesser-known Poe story deals with the hypnotism of a man near death in an attempt to suspend him between life and death. The production is seeking five men age 20 to 60 and one to two women age 20 to 60. Rehearsals will begin toward the end of August, and the show will open Oct. 11 and run three weekends. “Our Town,SDRq presented by Crown Theater Productions, Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., Columbiana, auditions 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 12 in the Encore Room. The production is looking for men and women age 15 and older. A script reading and a pantomime of an activity for one minute will be required; there will be no singing. The production will run from Oct. 4-13, with Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
