Youngstown’s Yung Monsta to compete on BET show

YOUNGSTOWN
An act from Northeast Ohio will appear on the weekly talent competition segment of the BET show “106 & Park” on Wednesday.
Yung Monsta (aka Jewone Franklin) of Youngstown and Shirjoma Jacobos (aka Jo-Jo) of Maple Heights will perform on the show, which begins at 6 p.m.
They will be competing against several other acts. Viewers will select the one that moves on in the competition through text-message voting or through the show’s smartphone app.
Yung Monsta has opened shows for Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, MGK, King Chip, Stalley, Driicky Graham and more. He also will appear Friday night at the Lemon Grove Cafe, 110 W. Federal St., downtown.
