Sheakleyville sets benefit weekend


HADLEY, PA.

Sheakleyville Fairgrounds, off Larimer Road, will be the site of “A Change of the Heart” weekend scheduled for May 17 through 19.

A picnic benefit for Ava Hitchens will be from 4 to 7 p.m. May 17 followed by the Sandy Lake Worship team with speaker Bill Weiss at 7.

Ava, a 6-year old with cystic fibrosis, is undergoing a new and expensive treatment for her condition. All proceeds will be used for her medical expenses.

On May 18 the Heavens Loving Hands puppet ministry will be from 2 to 3 p.m.; Youth Pastor Mike Smith of First Assembly of God in Hermitage, Pa., will speak from 3 to 3:30; Jay Michael & Shudder Christian Band will perform from 3:30 to 5; a pizza party for youth is planned at 5; and Vince Klonosky will be the speaker at 7.

There will be an ice cream and dessert benefit for Ava at 5 p.m. May 19 followed by the SLIM Brothers of Sandy Lake, who will perform at 6.

The event is hosted by the Cresswell and Campbell families.
