New Castle Maennerchor receives state recognition

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Pennsylvania State House of Representatives recently recognized New Castle’s Eintracht Maennerchor for its commitment to singing after a 30-minute concert by the group. The choir was founded in 1894 and is one of the nation’s oldest male singing groups. At a spring concert May 4 at the Eintracht Hall in New Castle, seven members will be awarded pins for 50 years of service with the group.
