A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city, Austintown, Poland and Boardman:
CANFIELD
April 15
Bad checks: Brent Holbrook, 41, of 445 Fairview, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of passing bad checks.
April 17
Drug abuse: Jordan Perry, 19, of 2805 Hamman, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.
Drug paraphernalia: Shane Barnes Jr. 22, of 142 S. Middle St., Columbiana, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
April 20
Drug paraphernalia: Tyler Rach, 21, of 9742 Washington Road, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug abuse, paraphernalia: Anthony Hostetter, 20, of 1133 Prospect St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse, Cody Schwartz, 19, of 542 E. School St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of drug paraphernalia, and Elliot Crank,18, of 990 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse.
AUSTINTOWN
April 15
Theft: Medicine was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.
Drug offense: Robert Willison, 32, of 4400 S. Turner Road was issued two summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse of marijuana and loose pills of Alprazolam and Diazepam.
Theft: A prescription bottle was stolen from a room at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A desktop computer was stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A theft was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive.
Theft: Brian Lapushansky, 27, of 8992 New Road, North Jackson was issued a summons for shoplifting food at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
April 16
Drug offense: James Culver, 25, of 1170 Roberts Ave., Apt., H-6, Warren was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
Theft: Money was taken from a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.
Breaking and entering: A storage unit was broken into at The Pool Hall, 5560 W. Webb Road.
Telecommunications harassment: Anonymous calls were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Nassau Court.
Theft: An employee stole lottery tickets at BP, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
April 17
Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls from out-of-state demanding money were reported at a home in the 50 block of Idaho Road.
Warrants: Michelle Wilson, 28, of 19 E. Quarry St., Newton Falls, was arrested on two warrants, for tampering with records and theft.
Aggravated menacing: A suspect is accused of aggravated menacing at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Medication was taken from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of Winthrop Drive.
Theft: Two concrete decorative mini horses were stolen from a home in the 30 block of Harold St.
Breaking and entering: Copper pipes were stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Smith St.
Theft: Ember Raver, 23, of 75 Fifth St., Campbell, was issued a summons for theft of $6.92 in merchandise from Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a 14-year-old female.
Drug offense: A consent search at an apartment in the 40 block of N. Raccoon Road resulted in marijuana and paraphernalia being recovered.
April 18
Theft: A wallet was stolen at Casale Aveda, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges of $426.93 were made to a credit card at a home in the 3000 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Two laptops were stolen from the PC Doctor, 3710 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: A fraudulent withdrawal was made to an account at a home in the 2000 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: Rachel O’Connell, 29, of 4861 Enterprise Drive, NW, Apt. 4, Warren, was issued a summons for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
April 19
Warrant: Martin Kochera, 45, of 5014 Brady St., Newton Falls, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation and receiving stolen property.
Receiving stolen property: Michael Patton, 18, of 1745 Overlook Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property.
Warrant: Brian Bees, 25, of 496 S. Raccoon Road, F-37, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments.
Theft: Money was taken by a female from an employee’s purse at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 5974 Mahoning Ave.
Warrant: James Nunamaker, 55, of 4613 Woodhurst Blvd., No. 3, was arrested on a warrant charging domestic violence.
Theft: An ex-boyfriend took the victim’s birth certificate, Social Security card and passport at a home in the 100 block of Westminister Ave.
Property damage: Damage to a vehicle mirror was reported in the parking lot at 5533 Mahoning Ave.
April 20
Warrant: Malcom Gilford, 26, of 174 Royal Mall Drive, Niles, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.
Drug abuse: Charles Shehab, 41, of 2252 Elm Trace Road, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and felony Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
Criminal damaging: Graffiti was painted at a home in the 3000 block of Oakwood Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Graffiti was painted at a home in the 100 block of N. Navarre Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was painted with graffiti at a home in the 100 block of N. Navarre Avenue.

Counterfeit currency: A $10 bill was passed at Walmart.

Telecommunications harassment: A resident reported being harassed on Facebook in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road.
Drug offense: Dominic Chicase, 20, of 352 Idlewood Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Drug offense: Matthew Cafarelli, 19, of 499 S. Edgehill Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Warrant: William Rose, 28, of 6097 Ridge Road, No. 102, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a traffic charge.
April 21
Menacing: A woman reported being menaced at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.
Warrant: Etta Morgan, 42, of 599 Sexton St., Struthers, was arrested on a warrant charging domestic violence.
Drug offense: Dannie Hawthorne, 53, of 3733 Indian Run Drive, No.4, was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug offense: Dominic Chicase, 20, of 352 Idlewood Road, was issued summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Theft: A purse was taken from an auto and a screwdriver used to punch the lock at Humility House, 755 Ohltown Road.
Disorderly conduct: Andrew Jennings, 26, of 69 Westminister Ave., No. 34, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Salsitas Mexican Restaurant, 5495 Clarkins Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken out of a vehicle on London Drive.
Theft: A customer’s iPhone was taken from a counter at Sheetz, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: $88 in gasoline was stolen in a gas drive-off at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
POLAND
April 13
Arrests: A traffic stop on Knollwood Avenue resulted in charges of driving under suspension, providing false information to avoid a citation and obstructing official business against Michael D. Lawrence, 39, of 2142 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown. Also taken into custody was 25-year-old Lisa A. Carroll, same address, on one count of obstructing official business and on a warrant charging contempt of court.
April 14
Theft: Various wildflowers were taken from Poland Township Park, 7400 Moore Road.
April 15
Criminal mischief: Vinyl siding was damaged on a residence and garage in the 2300 block of Bel Aire Lane, along with a sliding-glass window and a light bulb.
April 16
Criminal mischief: A man in the 2100 block of Knollwood Avenue reported damage to a swimming-pool wall liner.
Criminal damaging: A car in the 2400 block of Bel Aire Lane sustained $500 in damage.
April 19
Identity theft: A Hamilton Drive man realized his debit card had been used without authorization, for a loss of $320.
April 20
Identity theft: A Duncan Drive man learned his identity had been compromised.
BOARDMAN
April 18
Burglary: To a home in the 5200 block of Cranberry Lane after someone had tossed a landscape rock through a window. Stolen were a laptop computer, a computer tablet and a USB adaptor device.
April 19
Theft: A man stole a $798 laptop computer from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Misuse of a credit card: An Austintown woman who used her credit card to pay for someone to stay at a Market Street motel noticed a second, unauthorized charge to her card for $185.
Theft: Two men and two women reportedly stole 13 pairs of eyeglasses valued at $2,079 from America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, 439 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Attempted burglaries: Two residents in the 5200 block of Cranberry Lane discovered someone had tried to enter their homes after noticing their screen doors ajar.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while at a South Avenue grocery store.
April 20
Theft: A purse, a checkbook and numerous debit cards were among items stolen from an employee locker at Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd.
