YSU’s ‘Homework Express’ garners Emmy nomination

YOUNGSTOWN

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced that Youngstown State University’s Homework Express has been nominated for the 2013 Emmy Award in the “Children/Youth Program/Special” category.

The Lower Great Lakes Chapter includes television stations and professional media organizations in Cleveland, Toledo, Indianapolis, Youngstown, Erie and other cities.

The awards will be announced at the 44th Annual Emmy Awards celebration on June 1 at Windows on the River in Cleveland.

Host of the awards show is Mike Polk, a Cleveland-based writer and comedian whose Internet videos have garnered more that 60 million views on YouTube alone.
