DeWine to unveil plans for longer prison sentences for Ohioans convicted of gun crimes

COLUMBUS
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and state Senator Jim Hughes, R-Columbus, are scheduled to announce legislation today aimed at decreasing violent gun crimes in Ohio. The Violent Career Criminal Act proposes longer prison sentences for certain repeat offenders convicted of a crime involving a firearm. The bill also would change prison terms for some repeat offenders convicted of gun specifications.
