Falcon Foundry Co., which manufactures high- conductivity copper and bronze castings for blast furnaces, recently was awarded a management system certificate from internationally renowned certification organization SRI Quality Registrar.

For Pittsburgh-based Falcon, the certificate represents effective records management, a commitment to customers and sound policies.

Canfield Mayor Bill Kay will receive the Spirit of Canfield Award in May.

The award, presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, will recognize Kay’s efforts to promote and better the Canfield community.

Mark Cole will receive the Canfield Area Council Business Pride Award in May.

The award, presented by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, will recognize Cole’s business, Peaberry’s Cafe & Bakery, for its ethical, moral and professional standards.

The Home Savings and Loan Company has announced that Diana Nelms will be the bank’s new Columbiana area manager.

Nelms has more than 30 years of banking experience. She joined Home Savings in 2007.

Before accepting her new position, she served as branch manager of the Lisbon office.
