National Day of Prayer will be marked Thursday. Observances are planned in the Valley. The theme is “Pray for America: Investing in Hope, Transforming our Nation Through Prayer.” Events are open to the public. For more information, visit www.NationalDayOfPrayer.org.

4C’s (Crestview Churches Community Concerns): For the fifth consecutive year, Crestview High School will be the site for a service at 7 p.m. Jerry and Marilyn Mong of Leetonia are coordinating the event in Crestview Performing Arts Center. High school students and band members along with other community and county leaders representing business, education, military, media, families, churches and government will participate. Linda Allender, 4C’s president, will speak about the organization and the growth of the food pantry outreach, which is open to Crestview community members every week from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the offices of Abundant Life Fellowship. The pantry is affiliated with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. An offering will be taken for the 4C’s. A representative of the Men’s Rally in the Valley will speak. American Legion Post 290 of Columbiana will present colors. Refreshments will be served.

Hubbard Christians in Action: The organization will sponsor an observance from noon to 12:30 p.m. at Tylee Park in Hubbard. Prayers will be offered for the United States, military personnel and local communities. Lunch will follow at Central Christian Church, 44 S. Main St., Hubbard, where the event will be in case of inclement weather.

Youngstown and Regional Prayer Team: A breakfast will start at 6:30 a.m. at DiVieste Banquet Hall, 754 N. River Road, NW, Warren. The prayer and program will be at 7. Featured speaker will be Charles Jarvis, publisher of the Warren Tribune Chronicle. For information, call 330-847-7422.
