Megan Ashley Oliver of Boardman and John Charles Mertz, also of Boardman, are announcing their engagement.

Roy Oliver of Lowellville and Leslie Brown of Lowellville are the parents of the bride-elect. Parents of the future groom are Alfred and Sondra Mertz of Canfield.

The couple are planning a 1 p.m. May 4 wedding at St. Michael Church in Canfield. An evening reception will follow at The Embassy in Boardman. Invitations will be issued to both.

Miss Oliver is an assistant manager for Deal$ in Boardman.

Her fianc is an assistant manager for Dollar Tree Inc. in Canfield.
