Eagles boosters set 5k-run, 2-mile walk

Hubbard Eagles Baseball Team’s booster club is sponsoring a 5k-run and 2-mile walk May 18 at Harding Park, Roosevelt Drive.

Preregistration is $15 through May 11. Race T-shirts are guaranteed only for those who preregister by May 9. Race day registration is $17.

Meet outside the Kyle Pavilion, where on-site registration and race check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. The 2-mile walk will start at 9:30 a.m., and the 5k-run will begin at 10.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the families of those injured in the Boston Marathon tragedy.

An awards ceremony and snack bar will follow the run/walk.
