Wine taste to benefit Beatitude House


Beatitude House will host its 14th annual Wine Taste and Auction on May 3 at 5:30 p.m. at The Embassy in Boardman. Platinum sponsors for this event include Comprehensive Logistics, Oldies 106.1, Mix 98.9 and The Muransky Companies.

The evening, hosted by Jeff Kelly from Oldies 106.1, will include a gourmet dinner buffet, representatives from area wine distributors offering an array of premium wines, a live auction conducted by Basinger Auction Service, as well as a silent and ticket auction.

A variety of items will be auctioned off, including tickets to an Ohio State football game, a condo in Hawaii, American Girl Doll of the Year Saige, a Cleveland Browns football autographed by John Greco from Boardman High and game tickets and hotel accommodations to a San Francisco 49ers away football game. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win two round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the domestic United States, compliments of Boardman Discount Travel.

Currently, Beatitude House provides transitional housing for 12 families in Youngstown, 13 in Warren and 10 families in Ashtabula. Their permanent supportive housing program provides housing for women with disabilities who need assistance on a long-term basis. This program currently serves 28 families in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
