Crews from several area fire departments responded to a blaze at a Mount Everett Road lumber yard.

Eagle Joint Fire District, which covers the city and township, got the call for the fire at Babcock Lumber about 9:30 a.m. Friday. Ron Stanish, assistant chief, said firefighters believe a light above the business’s dust collection system, caused the fire in the ceiling which was contained to the dust collection and compressor areas.

It caused between $10,000 and $15,000 in damage.

Crews from Liberty, Brookfield, Vienna, Coitsville and the air base also responded. No one was injured.
