Men break into Warren home, demand money

WARREN

A 29-year-old Clearwater Street Northwest woman reported that three armed, masked men broke into her house at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, picked up two of her four children and carried them upstairs, where they demanded money.

The woman said she was upstairs with one of her children when she heard a loud crash, then heard her two boys, ages 7 months and 5 years, scream.

The men carried the boys to her and began yelling to show them where the money was.

She told them there was nothing to steal and went downstairs and showed them there was nothing to take. The men put the boys down. One of the men took the cell phone from her hand, and they all fled out of the back of the house.

The woman panicked when she couldn’t find the two other children but later realized they had ran down the street to their grandmother’s house, where the grandmother called 911.

Police found several sets of footprints in the back yard and a broken rear door jamb.

Police were unable to locate the suspects.

No injuries were reported.
