Lions serve the schools

The Canfield Lions Club took part in the annual kindergarten registration and screening at CH Campbell and Hilltop Elementary Schools on April 9 and 16. This is the 10th year that the Lions have conducted the vision screening portion of the event. The screening tests for vision problems which may effect a child’s ability to learn in a classroom setting.

The club members enjoy interacting with the children and their parents, while making the testing procedure a fun experience. More than 120 students were screened during registration.

The Canfield Lions will return to the schools in the fall to conduct vision screenings for all first and third-graders, and to retest any of the kindergarten students that had problems on this screening.
