Free kids car-seat checks Saturday

Technicians from Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and Safe Kids Mahoning Valley will provide a free car-seat check between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the hospital’s Beeghly Campus, Building C parking lot, 6505 Market St.

Child restraints and seat belts, when installed and used properly, can prevent injuries and save lives, said Gia Ramsey, injury-prevention specialist at Akron Children’s.

Technicians will be available to discuss seat-use guidelines and provide literature.
