The PTO at C.H. Campbell Elementary School hosted the annual Dinner with Dad fundraiser at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman April 15. Nearly 600 people attended the event and many more parents volunteered their time to make the event a success.

The event featured a 50/50 raffle, gift basket raffle and entertainment by Tom Phoolery. This was the second year putting on Dinner with Dad for co-chairs Joanna Pappalia and Leigh Jaffer.

“The event has grown significantly in the previous years,” said Pappalia. “Children and their fathers get to enjoy dinner from a great restaurant all while helping their school. There are also 13 baskets to win, including one with an old-fashioned popcorn cart and a snow cone machine. The live entertainment is great and all of the money raised goes back to the school and the various school events we have throughout the year.”

The PTO had donations from Handel’s, Teamology Spiritware, and Cocca’s Pizza to help with the dinner.

“We really want to thank the businesses that gave us donations, as well as Mr. Anthony’s for being so accommodating. They made it really easy to do this,” said Jaffer. “We are also really thankful to the principal at C.H. Campbell for being so supportive to the PTO and for keeping this great tradition going.”
