SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Penn State Cooperative Extension and Mercer County Master Gardeners chairwomen, from left to right, are Alaine Supel, Babs Quincy and LeeAnn Suso, who are preparing for the annual May Day Plant Sale and Garden Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at the 4-H Park, 463 N. Perry Highway (Route 19), Mercer, Pa. Featured plants will be annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, trees and shrubs. Vendors added this year will display photography, fine art, jewelry, personal care products, essential oils, garden art, flea market items, ice cream and beverages. Admission is free.
