Warren man accused of forcing 11-year-old to help him steal
WARREN
A 33-year-old Charles Avenue Southeast man has pleaded innocent to misdemeanor child endangering and other charges. He is accused of forcing an 11-year-old boy to help him steal wire from a telephone pole on Charles Street early Tuesday.
Timothy Woodyard was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on petty theft, child endangering and possession of criminal tools, all misdemeanors. A judge set bond at $7,500.
Police officers, acting on a tip, arrived at f Charles Avenue and South Street at 12:10 a.m. and observed the two cutting wires from a telephone pole.
Police were told Woodyard forced the boy to participate in the crime. The boy is the son of Woodyard’s girlfriend, police said.
