The Esquire Network was supposed to launch Monday, replacing G4, a little-viewed channel aimed at video-game enthusiasts. But the launch has been postponed until summer to create more original programming. The magazine first tried its hand at TV nearly 25 years ago with “Esquire: About Men, for Women,” a weekly newsmagazine on Lifetime. Five things about that show:

v Birth and death: It debuted May 6, 1989, and aired 26 episodes before leaving the air in 1990.

v Host: The first host was a then-unknown TV personality named Matt Lauer.

v Handsome: Newsday TV critic David Friedman described the pre-“Today” Lauer: “He is the perfect ‘Esquire’ man: He’s handsome, well spoken, handsome, well groomed, handsome, well dressed, handsome, well paid and — have I mentioned this before? — incredibly handsome.”

v Replacement: Lauer was replaced for the second season by Guy Martin, an editor at the magazine.

v Segments: The show was divided into four segments, “Conversations”; “Documentary” (in which guys sat around and “shared feelings”); “Byline” (a satirical look at men); and “Celebrity Interviews.”

“NCIS” (8 p.m., CBS): Tony and Ziva (Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly) fans should enjoy tonight’s episode of “NCIS.” The two share a slow dance while hunting her father’s killer in Germany. Can a major smooch be far behind?

“Hell’s Kitchen” (8 p.m., Fox): The competing chefs cook for Gordon Ramsay’s relatives.

“30 for 30” (8 p.m., ESPN): Dan Marion and John Elway are among those looking back at the QB-heavy 1983 NFL draft.

“The Retirement gamble” (10 p.m., pbs): Is your financial future in peril? “The Retirement Gamble” is a new “Frontline” installment that raises troubling questions about the security of our IRA and 401K plans. Shudder.

Youth acting classes at Kent-Trumbull

WARREN

Kent State-Trumbull theater and Summer Stock 35 will offer two youth acting classes on Mondays for eight weeks, beginning in June, for students age 7 to 17.

A Beginning Acting class will cover improvisation, basic acting technique and theater games, and a Musical Theatre class will cover singing, choreography and acting.

Each one-hour will be taught by Dana M. Warren.

Tuition is $45 for each class, and enrollment is limited to 20.

Wiz Khalifa tour at First Niagara
