Updates on osteoarthritis of the spine, treating gout, medications to treat arthritis and benefits of the Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program are topics at the second annual “Better Living with Arthritis” forum from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2 at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 East Market St., Howland. HOPE program

Jameson Health System, Highmark and the Preventative Health Alliance, are offering the HOPE program on osteoporosis prevention and education. The program series, which focuses on making healthy choices to improve bone health, consists of four classes from 4 to 5:30 p.m. April 29 and May 6, 13, and 20 in the School of Nursing Auditorium North. One class each week will have a guest lecturer and discussion, and one will consist of group exercise using stretch bands. There is no charge for Highmark Insurance and Gateway Insurance members, and a minimal charge for others. Preregistration is required. The annual meeting of The Community Corporation, parent organization of the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, is 5 to 7 p.m. May 8 at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland.
