SENIOR CITIZENS


Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark Church fellowship hall on Logan Way. Lou Pizzuto will preside. Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick will give reports. Lunch hosts are Frank and Gloria Wielbruda. There will be a ticket auction. All Commercial Intertech and Parker Hannifin retirees are welcome. Report illnesses to Connie DiPiero at 330-788-2340.

Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, for fellowship, cards and games. Take a sack lunch; coffee will be provided.

Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet May 8 at Antone’s Banquet Center, Market Street in Boardman. Social hour will begin at 11 a.m., and lunch will be at 11:45. The program will include a memorial for Martha Lopez by Sally Winsen and recognition of all members 90 and older by JoAnn Ellis. Nonperishable goods, current magazines and paperback books will be collected. All retired educators are welcome. For reservations call Margie Patterson at 330-750-6257 by May 1.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Jean Waters will give the devotions. There will be a pizza party at noon. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. Packard Electric and Delphi Packard 717 Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Local 717 Union Hall, Warren Commerce Park, 2950 Sferra Ave. Those attending are asked to take a labeled covered dish and table service, and are reminded to take empty prescription containers to be donated to the Action Alliance for Seniors Citizens.

St. Charles Over-55 Club is taking reservations for its May 14 luncheon at noon in the social hall. Cost is $9, and guests are welcome. For information call Carolyn Valensi at 330-726-2375.
