Howland 12, East Palestine 0

BAZETTA TWP.

Hannah Kowach struck out six batters and walked none in tossing a no-hitter for the Tigers (4-5). Kowach and Lexi Ross each had three hits including two doubles that drove in three runs. Emily Ross’ three hits included a homer and drove in four runs.

Ursuline 7, Ash. Edgewood 2

Makayla Shore pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk for Ursuline. She also singled, doubled and drove in three. Macey Gunther added three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs while Madelyn Christoff had two singles.

Jackson-Milton 6, Ursuline 3

Caitlyn Carney had three hits, including a homer, and five RBIs for JM (8-4). Zaina Sahli and Gabby Tharp each added two hits for the Bluejays. Macey Gunther had two hits for the Irish (9-2) and Madelyn Christoff doubled.

WENDY’S CLASSIC

Canfield 5, Elyria 4

ASHLAND

Kayley Keller homered in the second and sixth innings and Abby Baker also homered in the sixth as the Cardinals scored three runs to rally in the Wendy’s Classic. Baker and Keller each had three hits and combined for four RBIs. Rachel Tinkey added two hits and scored a run.

Akron Springfield 12, Canfield 4

Keller singled and drove in two runs for the Cardinals. Baker added an RBI single.

Boardman 10, Champion 2

BOARDMAN

The Spartans’ Marina D’Amato pitched a four-hitter, Caitlin Cina singled and homered and Melissa Maiorano singled and doubled. The Golden Flashes’ Amber Ricci hot a two-run homer in the first inning.

Boardman 15, Western Reserve 4

Kristen Huck went the distance for the Spartans scattering three hits in five innings. Boardman’s bats were led by Katelynn Morrell, Caitlin Cina, Sabrina Marshall and Katie Seeco who doubled. The Blue Devils’ April Lude opened the game with a solo homer and Alexis Little doubled for Western Reserve.

Champion 12, Hubbard 0

Kayla Hunt, Leanne Brown and Mackenzie Kiser each had three hits and Haylee Gardiner pitched a one-hitter over five innings with eight strikeouts and two walks for Champion (5-5-1). Amber Ricci added a single and a double, while Ricci and Brown each had two RBIs. Hubbard is 5-6.
