Grove city, pa.
Grove City College now has an official campus chapter of the global nonprofit organization the International Justice Mission.
The International Justice Mission is a human-rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
An IJM Campus Chapter is a group of students concerned about issues of injustice who desire to work together as advocates for the oppressed in a world of suffering.
“It is great to see our students involved in causes so close to the heart of God — things that we should all be concerned with and actively involved in,” Director of Campus Ministries Devayani Wintrode said.
The students involved in the Grove City College chapter of IJM seek to raise awareness of these issues on campus through various events and campaigns.
Some of the events will also raise money to toward IJM initiatives to fight human trafficking and other injustices.
“The purpose of the Grove City Chapter of International Justice Mission is to raise awareness on the campus and in the community about the reality of modern-day slavery, raise funds and ultimately take a stand against the issue,” said Caralyn Brown, a member of the campus chapter.
