Trinidad, Tobago presentation at Kravitz's Saturday morning

Youngstown State University associate Prof. Zara Rowlands will discuss the multicultural history of Trinidad and Tobago at 10 Saturday morning at Kravitz’s Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave.

The program is sponsored by the Ethnic Heritage Society, which is dedicated to supporting local immigrant and migrant communities.

Rowlands, a Trinidad native, will describe the ways in which cultural influences such as Amerindian, European, African, and Indian shaped her homeland’s folklore, cuisine, music, holidays, and religious practices.

The program is open to the public; admission is $5, and includes refreshments.
