Raridon Singers to present concert

POLAND

The Wade Raridon Singers chamber choir, directed by retired Dana School of Music professor Wade Raridon, will present a free concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road. The program will include selections from “Carousel,” “West Side Story” and “Les Miserables.”

AUDITIONS

Summer Stock 2013 Season, Kent State Trumbull Theater, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Auditions will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon April 27. The theater is seeking young actors for three shows. “Grandmother Tales” needs children from age 10 to 17 for various roles; performances will be in June. ”Puss ‘N Boots” needs children age 8 to 17 for all roles; performances will be in July. The musical “Grease” needs actors 14 and older; auditionees should prepare a song. “Grease” will be performed in July. All auditionees should be prepared to read from a script. “Sparky ... From Chicago,” by J.E. Ballantyne Jr., at Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, auditions at 7 p.m. May 13 and 14. The play examines the activities of Jack Ruby on the weekend of the assassination of President John Kennedy. Jack Ruby has been cast. Roles are available for men and women between age 20 and 60.
