April 3

Assault: David D. McLaughlin, 21, of 7337 North Lima Road, Poland, was charged with simple assault and criminal damaging after his girlfriend, of Salem, alleged McLaughlin had assaulted her at his residence last month. The accuser had a minor injury.

Litter: Someone dumped trash in the 2300 block of Knollwood Avenue.

April 4

Criminal mischief: A vehicle in the 5700 block of Beechwood Drive was damaged.

April 5

Menacing: A Fayetteville, N.C., man reported having been threatened while at a business in the 8100 block of South Stateline Road.

April 11

Littering: Someone intentionally dumped trash in the 2300 block of Knollwood Avenue.

April 12

Arrest: Police took into custody 35-year-old Katherine L. Tomko at her residence, 6125 Acatello Place, Poland. She was wanted on a warrant from Struthers Municipal Court charging contempt of court.

Arrests: A traffic stop near Knollwood Avenue resulted in the arrests of Lisa A. Carroll 25, and Michael D. Lawrence, 39, both of 2142 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown, on charges of obstructing official business. They provided false information to avoid a citation, a report showed.

April 13

Theft: Various wildflowers were taken from Poland Township Park, 7400 Moore Road.

April 14

Criminal mischief: Vinyl siding and a window were damaged at a home in the 2300 block of Bel Aire Lane. Damage came to $420.
