Girard trash pickup delayed by Allied strike

GIRARD

City officials said residents should put their garbage outside Sunday night for Monday pickup, instead of Thursday night for Friday pickup.

Mayor James Melfi said the change is due to a labor strike at Allied Waste.

He said Monday garbage pickups would continue pending the strike.

Melfi said residents with questions should call city hall at 330-545-3306.
