Boardman High School Class of 1971 is planning a 60th birthday reunion weekend starting with a kick-off gathering at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at Los Gallos Mexican Restaurant, 685 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. A birthday party will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 31 at Drake’s Landing, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield, and a bring-your-own brunch is planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Chester Long Pavilion in Boardman Park. An optional golf outing also has been planned that day at the Mill Creek North Course with a tee time from 10:21 a.m. to 12:18 p.m. Advance reservations are required for all events; they can be made on the website, www.classcreator.com/Boardman-Ohio-1971/class_index.cfm, which contains details about the events, classmates, private messaging capability, photos and more. Many graduates still haven’t been contacted. Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1956 will meet for brunch at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bedford Trails in Coitsville. Guests are welcome.
