Austintown Fitch 10, Canfield 2

CANFIELD

Scott Pierce had a triple, three singles and two RBI in support of pitcher Austin Cooper. Kevin Sierra added a home run and a single for Fitch (8-1, 3-0 AAC American) and Luke Peterson had a double and a single. Ahead 4-2 through four innings the Falcons outscored the Cardinals (2-6, 1-2) by a 6-0 count in the final three innings.

Poland 10, Howland 5

HOWLAND

Poland (4-4, 1-2 AAC American) blew open a 2-0 game with four-run rallies in the fifth and sixth innings and then held off the Tigers who scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh. Rick Svetlak had a double, a single and two RBI for Poland, Pat Carlozzi drove in three runs and was the winning pitcher, Austin Beil had a double and a single and Nick Lipari had three hits.

Girard 18, Liberty 0

LIBERTY

Kyle Harris no-hit the Leopards (4-1, 2-1 AAC National) in a five-inning game and Jim Standohar and Evan Standohar combined for four hits and seven RBIs for the Indians. Harris faced 16 batters. The Indians (3-6, 1-2 AAC National) got three hits each from Harris and Zach Cochran. In the first inning, Harris issued a walk and then had a Liberty batter reach on an error before Girard turned a double play by shortstop Evan Standohar, second baseman Jim Standohar and first baseman Nick Krajcirik.

South Range 6, Jackson-Milton 0

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Mason Miller (9 strikeouts, 0 walks in 5 innings) and Billy Goodall combined on a 3-hitter for South Range (6-1, 3-0 ITCL Tier One). Ross Stoffer banged out two triples and drove home two runs for the Raiders.

Springfield Local 4, Crestview 3

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Springfield scored the winning run in the last of the seventh after losing an early 3-0 lead. Ryan Kohler had a double and triple and James Hillyer got the win with 1 2/3 innings of relief of starter Jordan Peterson. Cody Pitzo also had two hits for the Tigers (6-1, 5-0 ITCL Tier One). Brandon Jayne and Mike McDonough had two hits apiece and Jayne doubled for Crestview (6-1, 4-1) which tied the game with a run in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Mineral Ridge 2, East Palestine 0

EAST PALESTINE

Brandon Bukofchan had two singles and an RBI and Michael White had two singles, while Greg Strohmeyer’s four-hitter included 10 strikeouts for Ridge. For East Palestine (4-4, 0-3), Alec Dumbauld doubled and Tyler Visnick singled.

Salem 8, Marlington 4

SALEM

Brendan Webb pitched into the seventh and the Quakers (5-4, 2-2 Northeastern Buckeye) rode a five-run third inning to victory. Webb fanned seven in the win.

Lakeview 3, Jefferson 2

CORTLAND

Junior David LeMasters had 10 strikeouts and issued four walks during a four-hitter and junior Carmen Ramono had two singles for Lakeview (2-4, 1-2 AAC National). Jesse Skvarek had two singles for Jefferson (4-3, 2-1 AAC National).

Western Reserve 10, Lowellville 2

LOWELLVILLE

Tristan Bova bashed a triple and two singles, driving in two runs in support of the four-hit, 10-strikeout pitching of Nick Allison. Bova also stole three bases and scored three times for the Blue Devils (5-3, 4-1 ITCL Tier Two). Jacob Clark added three singles and two RBI, Parker Clegg had a double, a single and two RBI and Tim O’Connell laced a triple and two singles.

McDonald 12, Leetonia 2

LEETONIA

Mike Soots had a double, two singles and three runs batted in and Mike Raschilla added a double, two singles and two RBI for McDoanld (5-2, 4-1 ITCL Tier Two). Mike Schuller scattered six hits and struck out six and Christian Rusinowski had three hits for the Blue Devils. Dattilio had three hits for the Bears.

Columbiana 8, Southern 1

COLUMBIANA

Kane Kyle and Austin Miner combined on a two-hitter, while Nathan Garofalo had a triple and two singles for the winners (3-3, 3-2). Reed Fleeson and Garrett Patrick had two hits apiece for Columbiana. Jacob Davis doubled for Southern (0-8, 0-4).

Mathews 13, Bloomfield 0

NORTH BLOOMFIELD

Matt Harries threw a five-inning no-hitter and Mathews (4-2, 3-0 NAC) put the game away with eight runs in the first. Nate Homan had three hits and two runs batted in and Angelo Freed drove in three runs.

Woodridge 11, Southeast 0

PENINSULA

Ryan Polichena doubled and Nick Sigworth and Brandon Olson had a single apiece for Southeast (4-3, 2-1).

Garrettsville 5, Mogadore 0

GARRETTSVILLE

Tim Schwan threw a four-hitter, homered, doubled and scored three times for the G-Men (4-5, 3-0 Portage Trail).
