Car show to open at Southern Park Mall

The latest models of cars will be on display at Southern Park Mall on Tuesday through April 29 for the annual spring car show. The vehicles are from Boardman Nissan, Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler Dodge, Donnell Ford Lincoln and Bob & Chuck Eddy Fiat.

“Whether or not you are in the market for a new car, this is a great opportunity to see lots of makes and models in one location,” said Sheryl Raulin, director of marketing for the mall.

Rock singer Eddie Money will come to the Warren Community Amphitheater on June 14 for a concert to benefit Relay for Life. Opening the show will be the Gary Markasky Project and the OneFortyOnes.

Film on drug war

Hope Lutheran Parish and Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative will have a public screening of “The House I Live In” at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 931 Buckeye St. NW.

The documentary looks at the failure of the war on drugs since its inception in the 1970s. The church hopes to facilitate discussions on drug policy, mass incarceration and their effects on communities.
