Shopping mall in suburban Pittsburgh evacuated today after bomb threat at Sears

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa.

A western Pennsylvania mall has been evacuated after a bomb threat was found in a department store dressing room.

Emergency dispatchers in Allegheny County say they were called at 1:17 p.m. Sunday about the threat was found at the Mall at Robinson in suburban Pittsburgh.

Officials say the note found in a dressing room at the Sears department store implied that three explosive devices were present.

Police, fire and ambulance units responded along with the county bomb squad with bomb-sniffing dogs.

Police said the Robinson Township mall had been evacuated. No injuries were reported.

KDKA-TV said the mall was scheduled to close at 6 p.m. and would not reopen Sunday.
