CreativeBridge Coalition will host Soul Night, featuring members of some soul bands from the 1960s, from 6 to 9 p.m. April 25 at The Fireplace, 2075 E. Western Reserve Road.

The coalition serves young children and those with special needs by bringing music into their lives.

Funds raised from Soul Night will benefit its programs, which improve social skills, enhance personality traits and develop learning capabilities.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by DJ Carl Severino. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and share stories with the original members of The Jaggerz, The Insights, The Hi Guys and The Bellboys. There also will be a drawing and silent auction.

Tickets are $20, with all proceeds going to CBC. Contact Linda Wellendorf at 330-518-5872 or lindaw@cbridgec.org. Those who cannot attend can still donate at cbridgec.org.

“We are excited to host our first fundraising event and bring together members of these soul bands that played huge roles in our lives in the late 1960s and early 1970s,” said Dan Marshall, CBC co-founder.

“Proceeds from the event will help us grow our current project at the Rich Center for Autism in Youngstown and expand our regional efforts to create music-based programs for kids.”
