Earth day benefit will be in eatery

Valley residents will have an opportunity to celebrate Earth Day at the 30-Mile Meal, Lake-to-River OH/PA’s Earth Day tasting fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m. April 21 at Magic Tree Pub & Eatery, 7463 South Ave.

For $25, attendees can enjoy a beer and wine tasting, including Ohio-made beer and wine, as well as sample and buy products from several local vendors. There will also be a raffle with prizes from local businesses.

Interested persons can pay at the door or order tickets in advance online through the 30-Mile Meal, Lake-to-River OH/PA Facebook page.

The 30-Mile Meal is a local food branding and promotional campaign project aimed at increasing the awareness and availability of local food, strengthening the bottom line for area food businesses, creating a network between local growers and buyers and developing tourist destinations based on food heritage. The project is centered around Youngstown and covers Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
