“The Rainmaker,SDRq directed by Sam Luptak Jr., Victorian Players, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown Auditions will be at 6 p.m. April 15. Director is seeking an actor between age 18 and 30 for the role of Starbuck, the romantic lead. Will be required to attend all rehearsals with read-throughs later next week. Summer Stock 2013 Season, Kent State Theatre lobby, Kent State Trumbull, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, auditions will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 25 and 10 a.m. to noon April 27. The theater is seeking young actors for three shows. “Grandmother Tales,” adapted by R. Rex Stephenson and directed by Patricia M. Fagan, needs children age 10 to 17 for various roles; performances will take place in the Student Union in June. ”Puss ‘N Boots,” written by Fagan and directed by Jenny Binter, needs children age 8 to 17 for all roles; performances will be in July. The musical “Grease,” by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey and directed by Tom Hitmar and company, needs actors age 14 and older; auditionees should prepare a song. “Grease” will be performed in July. For all auditions, actors should be prepared to read from a script. Participation fee for the summer is $50. 330-675-8887.
