Ohio health dept. speakers at Youngstown event Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN

Dr. Darrel Lynn Grace and Johnnie Allen, health equity director for the Ohio Department of Health, are keynote speakers for the Youngstown Office on Minority Health’s “What is Public Health” forum from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Youngstown City Health District, (YCHD) Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oak Hill Ave.

Other items on the agenda include: “What is Public Health” discussed by the YCHD directors; “Compassionate Care,” Margaret Sanders, Northeast Ohio Medical University; “Years of Potential Life Lost,” Dr. Lashale Pugh, Youngstown State University; and “Diabetes: A Major

Epidemic,” Dr. Grace, a local physician.
