Kathryn L. Groves and Erik M. Bachinger, both of Youngstown, were united in marriage during a 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1, 2012, wedding ceremony at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren. Officiant was the Rev. Ann M. Winters.

The newlyweds received guests at a reception at Leo’s Ristorante in Warren.

The bride is the daughter of Gerald K. and Deborah L. Groves of Warren. The groom’s parents are Michael Bachinger and Heidi Bachinger, both of Youngstown.

The bride wore an alabaster silk and satin gown with a beaded strap over one shoulder. It was embellished with an asymmetrical waistline and flared skirt with embroidered beaded applique. Her ensemble was completed with a layered veil with crystal beaded edges. She carried a bouquet featuring her grandmother’s wedding tiara.

Sister of the bride, Kara Eaton, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Keck, cousin of the groom; Dawn Schwartz; Amy McCoy; Alicia Seitz, cousin of the bride; Cierra Gabrielson, niece of the bride; Lauren Rago; and Stephanie Groves, sister-in-law of the bride. The attendants wore emerald green gowns.

Brother of the groom, Michael Bachinger, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Kirk Groves, brother of the bride; Garrett Crucian; Adam and Lee Keck, cousins of the groom; John Latone; Chris Dahman; and Anthony Rago. The bride’s nephews, Jordan Eaton and Hunter and Christian Groves, were ring bearers and Jacob Groves was an usher.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Youngstown State University. She is a registered nurse at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.

The groom attended YSU and is a supervisor at Infocision in New Castle, Pa.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Youngstown.
