Braceville Township massage parlor raided again

Braceville Township police raided a massage parlor on state Route 5 just west of the Ohio Turnpike on Thursday afternoon, eight months after they first raided it.
It was known as the Four Seasons when raided last July 2, and the owner and an employee were arrested.
For the eight weeks it’s been operating this year, it’s been known as the Rose Spa.
But the illegal activity going on inside was apparently about the same, Braceville Township Police Chief Bill Garro said.
Within days of the spa’s opening, police starting receiving calls about illegal activity there.
On Thursday, a Trumbull County judge granted a search warrant allowing officers to enter the building and investigate.
They found a masseuse engaged in sexual activity with a man from Mansfield, a customer.
Garro said he expected to make two arrests Thursday — the owner and the masseuse. The customer was allowed to leave without charges being filed.
Arraignments on the charges against the two women are likely to take place Monday morning in Newton Falls Municipal Court.
Garro said the people working inside the spa are different from those arrested in July, when police were notified the last time of prostitution taking place there.
Garro said the spa will be boarded up. He said a hearing within about 10 days will determine whether it should remain closed.
Kay Owens, 64, of Blossom Ave., Campbell, was charged with six felony counts of promoting prostitution in the case last year, but the charges were later dropped.
Kyung Lee, 52, who said she lived at the spa, was charged with misdemeanor counts of prostutition.
Garro said he believes Lee was deported. Newton Falls Municipal Court records say she was convicted of a misdemeanor.
