Center's party to aid food services pantry

Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center is sponsoring a Pound Party for the benefit of Niles Community Services Food Pantry at noon Thursday at the center, 14 E. State St.

All participants are asked to take a pound of food staples to the party in lieu of a charge for lunch. The items will be donated to the food pantry. Suggestions are peanut butter, jelly, tuna, soup, canned fruit, cereal, toilet paper, bar soap or household soap, toothpaste, etc.

Dan’s Drumming Circle will entertain, and the center will provide a free lunch. Those who plan to attend should call and sign up so there is adequate food for lunch. Call 330-544-3676.
