High school teacher faces allegations of misconduct

A high school science teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave after allegations of misconduct with a student.
Superintendent Ken Halbert said Alan Stanley was suspended Sept. 18 after he became aware of allegations against Stanley.
The allegation is that he had inappropriate conduct with a 17-year-old student, according to village police.
The allegations are contained in a police report dated Aug. 27, but the report gives no indication as to what sort of conduct was involved.
Halbert said he met with Stanley on Sept. 17 and notified him of his suspension the next day.
He said Stanley is not allowed on school property until the investigation is completed.
Police said no charges have been filed, but they are investigating.
