Man gets 15 to 30 years in baby’s death

EBENSBURG, Pa.

A western Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison in the shaking death of his infant son almost two years ago.

Justin Charles, 24, of South Fork pleaded guilty last month to third-degree murder in the December 2010 death of 7-week-old Justin Jr.

The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat says Charles told a Cambria County judge Tuesday that he had talked to a religious counselor about seeking forgiveness.

Prosecutors said Charles was baby-sitting when he shook the child.
