Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will sponsor a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6. It will feature baked goods, arts and crafts, trash and treasure and a raffle. Haluski, hot dogs and kraut dogs, sloppy joes, desserts and beverages will be served.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, will sponsor a fall flea market and bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13. A bake sale also is planned; lunch will be available.

BOOK SALES

Friends of the Hubbard Library will sponsor its annual mega book sale next month at Hubbard Public Library, 46 W. Liberty St. Hardbacks, paperbacks, DVDs, CDs and puzzles will be sold. Preview night is planned from 5 to 7:45 p.m. Oct. 3 with admission of $5 and Friends members are free. The sale continues from 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Oct. 4, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6. Saturday is $2 a bag day.

FESTIVALS/FAIRS

Croatian Home Center, 3200 Vestal Road, is planning the fall festival Saturday. Doors open at noon and admission is $3 each. Decorative autumn items such as mums, pumpkins, corn stalks, gourds and Indian corn will be available. Food items for sale will include frozen apple and cheese strudels, homemade kolbasi, cheese gibanica, pumpkin desserts, hand-dipped chocolate and caramel apples, hot apple crisp with ice cream and an Amish vendor with homemade canned items. RAFFLES

Hubbard High School Alumni Association is selling tickets for a chance to win a golf and vacation package to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The three-night stay for four people includes one round of golf per person, one 50-minute Swedish massage per person and $500 spending money. The package is good Sunday through Thursday on a space-available basis through May 2014. The drawing will take place Oct. 13 at Hubbard High School alumni banquet. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in Hubbard at Joe’s Barber Shop, Hubbard Soaring Eagle and Deer Creek Golf Course and at Golden Dawn Restaurant in Youngstown. Kinsman United Methodist Church, 8431 State St., will serve the annual turkey dinner and host a bazaar Saturday. Menagerie Thrift and Gift Shoppe, 6037 E. Market St., Howland, will conduct a 50-percent off storewide sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
