Ohio man goes to prison for robbing the same bank twice

CINCINNATI (AP) — Prosecutors say a man has appeared in court charged with robbing a Cincinnati bank — six months after he got out of prison for robbing the same bank.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Adam Billman admitted in court today that it was a “pretty stupid crime” to try to rob the same bank a second time. The judge agreed, and sentenced him to another three years behind bars.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to the July 16 robbery of a Key Bank branch in downtown Cincinnati. He was convicted of robbing the bank the first time on March 12, 2010, and served a two-year prison sentence.

Billman’s attorney told the judge that his client is “a serious drug addict who wants to take care of this right away.”
