Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors, such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Warren S.C.O.P.E. Center, 220 W. Market St., Warren, is offering a free monthly grandparents support group that will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The group will support grandparents 60 and older to network with others with the same responsibilities. Guest speakers will offer additional resources and information.
