SENIOR CITIZENS


Champion S.C.O.P.E. will present Garvin McCorkle, a nutrition specialist from the Ohio State Extension Family Nutrition Program, who will cook lunch for the members. The cost will be $3 each. Call to make your reservation at 330-847-8179 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark Orthodox Church fellowship hall, Logan Way, Liberty, with Lou Pizzuto presiding. Reports will be given by Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick. Hosting are LeRoy and Thelma Saunders and Willard Gidney. Commercial Intertech and Parker Hannifin retirees are welcome.

Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, for fellowship, cards and games. Take a sack lunch. Coffee will be provided. Visitors are welcome. For information call 330-539-4173.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Patricia Perio will give the devotions. There will be a pizza party at noon; coffee and tea will be provided. Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Local 717 Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Local 717 Union Hall, Warren Commerce Park, 2950 Sferra Ave., Warren. Members should take labeled covered dishes and table service. Speaker will be Shirley List of St. Joseph’s at Eastwood Mall. Next month is money maker, an indoor yard sale. Broken items, clothing and shoes will not be accepted.

Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve Methodist Church, 4560 Canfield Road, Canfield. Guest speakers will be Carol Beard and Dr. Albani speaking about the Midlothian Free Health Clinic. Refreshments will be served. All area retired RNs are invited.
