Election set for supervisor positions at county soil and water conservation district

The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District will have a special election for district board of supervisors Oct. 10 at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Two board members will be elected to three-year terms of office. County residents and landowners have three options for casting a ballot.

Call or visit the SWCD office, 330-740-7995, or 850 Industrial Road, Youngstown to request a ballot.

Cast a ballot at the district office by 4 p.m. Oct. 9.

Cast a ballot at the election from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at MCCTC.

Eligible voters must be 18 and live in Mahoning County or own land in the district.

Candidates in the year’s special election are Greg Burbick of Beaver Township, Joyce Gottron of North Jackson, Lawrence Johnson of Canfield, Mike Pompoco of Canfield and Jerry Rockhold Jr. of Boardman.
