Northern Iowa scored two quick touchdowns to open the third quarter and lead Youngstown State 28-21 with 8:59 left in the third.

The Penguins' defense has been gashed so far this half, as David Johnson's 23-yard TD followed Johnson's 48-yard TD reception.
